A 40-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon, after falling from a sixth-story window at Copper Mountain resort’s employee housing.

At 12:50 p.m., officials were called to the Edge, the ski resort’s employee housing complex, where they found Brandon White unresponsive, according to a news release form the Summit County Coroner’s Office.

The fall appears to be an accident, and officials say that White was likely drinking alcohol when he fell.

No foul play is suspected, and White, who had been working at the resort for the past 6 months, was alone at the time of the accident.

Toxicology tests are pending and could take a least 2 weeks to be completed.
