A gas station in Thornton remains open this morning despite having a truck crash into it.

Thornton police said the truck crashed into the Circle K at East 128th Avenue and Washington Street around 5:30 a.m.

No one inside the store was injured and the driver of the truck was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police said a building inspector came out to check the structural integrity of the building and determined that the gas station could remain open for business.

The driver’s name was not immediately released.
