The NFL’s free-agent feeding frenzy was in full force Friday, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sunk $19.5 million worth of booty ($6.5 million guaranteed) on . . . a punter. For that kind of cash, you’d expect to hear Ray Guy was coming out of retirement. But, no. The Buccaneers gave Michael Koenen the big bucks over a six- year deal. And the former Atlanta Falcon isn’t even all that great, ranking 30th in the league among punters with 50 or more punts last season at 40.7 yards.
