Getting your player ready...

All nine Broncos draft picks are now under contract, and the team wasted little time getting the top picks involved.

Safeties Rahim Moore and Quinton Carter, linebacker Von Miller and right tackle Orlando Franklin were all working with the starting offense or defense at the start of today’s practice — the third practice (second full session) of training camp.

Today marked the first practice for Moore, a second-round pick, who signed his contract too late on Thursday to participate in the first day of camp.

Linebacker Nate Irving, the team’s third-round pick, signed his contract this afternoon, but not in time to participate in the practice.

Moore and Carter lined up with the starters because neither of the incumbent starters, Brian Dawkins and Renaldo Hill, are practicing yet.

Dawkins is unable to participate until he finishes restructuring his contract and the new league year starts on Aug. 4. Hill, who also missed Thursday’s morning practice because of dehydration, was seen walking to the weight room instead of practicing.

Today’s afternoon practice will run until 5 p.m.
