Construction on northbound Peña Boulevard will begin Monday.
Commuters traveling toward the airport should expect delays from East 64th Avenue to Tower Road, according to a news release from Denver International Airport.
Regular lanes will remain open while crews build a temporary two- lane detour.
The detour should be complete near the end of August, at which time Peña Boulevard will close, and drivers will be rerouted onto the temporary lanes.
