Colorado Springs police took three men into custody early this morning, after officers spotted two of them fleeing from an alleged burglary.

At 12:45 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 1300 block of North Wahsatch Avenue, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s blotter.

A neighbor told police they saw two unknown men enter the home through a side window and then begin rummaging through the house.

When officers arrived, two men fled from the home, dropping pillowcases filled with items from the inside.

Officers chased the two men but lost sight of them.

A short time later, officers found the two suspects and an additional man hiding in a vehicle parked a few houses away.

The men were taken into custody and face charges of second-degree burglary.
