Average retail gasoline prices in Denver continued to fall as the national average continued to rise, according to the gasoline website .
In the past week, the average price per gallon in Denver fell 0.3 cents, averaging $3.44 per gallon on Sunday.
The national average increased 1.1 cents per gallon last week averaging $3.70 a gallon.
The average cost of a gallon of gas in Denver was 2.6 cents less than a month ago and 87.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago.
Nationally, the average cost of a gallon of gasoline has increased 13.2 cents during the last month and stands at 95.5 cents per gallon higher than this time a year ago.
