LOS ANGELES — The renewal isn’t official yet, but all signs point to a second season for “The Glee Project” on Oxygen.

Executive producer Michael Davies told critics here that “talks have begun and we’re planning and budgeting” for a second season for the popular reality show that promises the winner a role on Fox’s “Glee.” The ratings growth of “more than 100 percent in key demos” leaves him confident there will be a second season.

The winner is guaranteed to appear in seven episodes of “Glee” but there could be more. No word on how “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy plans to integrate the new character into the show.
