COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Wildlife officials say a mother bear and two cubs that were spotted in front of a home in Colorado Springs have been tranquilized and relocated.
Jessica Isbell told KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs () that the bears were scratching on her bedroom window. She says the bears were digging in her neighbor’s trash before being scared into a tree by a garbage truck.
Colorado wildlife division spokesman Michael Seraphin says dry conditions in southern Colorado have led to an increase in bear sightings this year, as bears look for something to eat closer to cities and towns.
