MONTROSE, Colo.—Two Montrose Memorial Hospital employees have turned in paperwork to try to recall all three Montrose County commissioners.

The Montrose Daily Press reports ( ) Mike Krull and Duke Richardson turned in packets Wednesday to begin a petition process to recall Commissioners Gary Ellis, David White and Ron Henderson.

They say they want to recall the commissioners based on overall incompetence, not just because of recent litigation involving the hospital.

The County Commission had filed a lawsuit that argued hospital trustees improperly entered an agreement to lease the hospital to a nonprofit group last year. A judge ruled last week the hospital was within its rights. Commissioners voted 2-1 Tuesday to challenge the ruling.
