State troopers are investigating a crash in El Paso County today that killed a female service member assigned to the 310th Space Wing at Schriever Air Force Base.
Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
The two car crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the Colorado Highway 94 and North Curtis Road, which is immediately north of the base.
Trooper Nate Reid, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol, said the circumstances are under investigation.
The woman, driving a Honda sedan, died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a Ford sport-utility vehicle, was treated for injuries and released at the crash site.
