CANON CITY, Colo.—Recent rains have prompted officials to end fire restrictions on Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service land in Custer, Fremont, Huerfano, Las Animas, Pueblo and Teller counties.
Officials say the moisture has reduced the wildfire risk, but they still encourage people be careful with campfires, smoking and equipment that can produce sparks.
