Cimarex Energy Co.’s second-quarter profit rose 34 percent as higher prices continued to boost the oil-and-gas producer’s revenue and a hedging gain offset lower production.
Cimarex reported a profit of $166.7 million, or $1.94 a share, up from $124.6 million, or $1.46 a share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 23 percent to $467.2 million.
