Guitar Town festival.
The seventh annual Guitar Town festival will be Aug. 12-14 at Copper Mountain. It will feature free music performances, guitar workshops, the ArtGuitar silent auction and more. Performances will begin daily at noon with continuous live music all day throughout venues in Center Village.
Mountain Chile Cha Cha.
The Mountain Chile Cha Cha will be Aug. 27, in Pagosa Springs, offering live music, cold refreshments and food. The green chiles begin roasting by noon, and visitors can taste a variety of green chile — both vegetarian and with meat. There will also be 5K and 10K races.
Arts in Summit County.
Summit County’s Fall for the Arts Celebration is Sept. 9-11. The event includes music, fine art, theater, dance and children’s activities.
Grand Junction youths portray historic figures.
Two Rivers Chautauqua will present Lighten Up! in Grand Junction Sept. 16-17 at the Cross Orchards Historic Site. Young Chatuaquans will bring history to life by performing as historic figures, including Mark Twain, Dorothy Parker and Will Rogers.
