A 35-year-old man was stabbed Saturday afternoon in Edgewater after a group of teenagers harassed him about his tattoos.
The man, whose injuries were not life-threatening, said he got off an RTD bus around 4:30 p.m. and was accosted by three males about 17 years old, public information officer Steve Davis said.
One of the men was white and wearing blue jean shorts and a white muscle shirt, the victim said. The other two men were Hispanic.
The man said the three males followed him into the alley between the 2500 block of Harlan and Ingalls streets, where the white man stabbed him in the forearm and stomach area.
The victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital.
His name was not released.
Edgewater police are asking anyone who may have seen the suspects in the area, or has information about the crime, to call 303-235-0500.
