A pair of local tech and telecom announcements are slated for early this week. With the new signs atop the former Qwest downtown skyscraper near completion, CenturyLink will mark its presence in the community today with an event featuring Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
“The Qwest name officially vanishes as CenturyLink launches the new brand,” CenturyLink states in a news advisory.
Denver-based Quark, a one- time desktop-publishing software powerhouse, has scheduled for Tuesday a “significant corporate announcement” regarding its ownership. The company was founded in 1981 by Tim Gill, now a multimillionaire philanthropist and political activist. Gill left the company in 2000.
