Summer’s best low-tech sky event — the Perseid meteor shower — will be a washout this year, with a full moon set to spoil the peak show this weekend. However, meteors are already grazing the atmosphere. reports that the best viewing in Denver will be from 4 to 4:25 a.m. Thursday.
For the best viewing, get away from city lights and allow your eyes to adjust for about 20 minutes. Then look to the north, although the meteors may appear anywhere in the sky.
