A woman was forced to crash-land a small plane just northeast of the Boulder Municipal Airport this afternoon.

The plane crashed in a field near 3601 61st St.around 5:20 p.m. after it lost power, according to Sgt. Lori Cox of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The 36-year-old pilot had just dropped off two skydivers two miles southeast of the airport and was returning to land. On her way back, she lost power and crash-landed in the field.
