DENVER—Some Colorado businesses are refusing to accept $100 bills after counterfeit bills started showing up.

The counterfeit bills have been copied onto $5 bills and pens used to verify currency show the bills as legitimate.

At Chops men’s salon in Denver, stylists no longer accept the big bills. Last week, a new customer asked for change, but it wasn’t until later they noticed the Lincoln watermark, when it should have had a Benjamin watermark.

According to KMGH-TV (), the Secret Service says the counterfeit bills are a constant problem.
