DENVER—Two police officers from Aurora, Colo., have been arrested after Wyoming authorities accused them of taking an Aurora police car on a wild ride through Goshen County in Wyoming.

Goshen County Sherriff’s Capt. Brian Morehouse says the Colorado officers were heading to the funeral of two officers who were recently killed in South Dakota.

According to KUSA-TV (), Morehouse stopped the officers’ car Wednesday night after a volunteer firefighter called dispatch to say he saw a police car speeding, a passenger throwing trash out of the car and the officers using the vehicle’s emergency lights to pass other cars.

Aurora police officer Bradly B. Bickett was cited for driving while intoxicated, careless driving and speeding. Bickett’s passenger, Aurora police officer Gerald Kirby, was cited for littering.
