GREELEY — The Weld County Humane Society says it’s in desperate need of cat food and money after dealing with its sixth cat hoarder in the past 18 months.
Some 60 cats were seized Thursday from the home of an elderly Greeley man. Greeley police say neighbor complaints prompted them to get a search warrant for the home. Police say the elderly man isn’t being charged.
Elaine Hicks of the Weld County Humane Society told The Coloradoan newspaper that 23 of the cats had to be euthanized and the rest have filled every cage at the agency. The Associated Press
