Ty Warren, the Broncos’ newly signed defensive tackle, will undergoing an MRI exam Monday night to determine the extent of a triceps tendon injury he suffered during practice.
There is fear the injury is significant.
Warren, who missed all of last season with New England because of a hip injury, left the field Monday just a few minutes after Marcus Thomas suffered a strained right pectoral muscle.
Warren and Thomas started the day with the Broncos’ first-team defense.
“Hopefully, they’re not serious,” said Broncos coach John Fox.
Warren was the Broncos’ most expensive free-agent signing as he received a two-year, $8 million contract that includes a $2.5 million signing bonus.
Thomas re-signed with the Broncos on a one-year, $1 million deal.
