GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Delta man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child has been sentenced to one year in a work-release program and probation.
Prosecutor Wiley Christopher says that was the recommended sentence and the sentence the child wanted.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel ( ), 47-year-old Jeffrey Bigham was arrested in February and charged with seven counts of sexual assault on a child.
As part of a plea deal, Bigham pleaded guilty to one count of felony child abuse by a person in a position of trust.
