A 58-year-old man died of an apparent heart attack in Rocky Mountain National Park on Tuesday.
At 2:10 p.m., rangers were notified about a bystander performing CPR on a man who was unconscious near the outlet of Emerald Lake in the Bear Lake area of the park, according to a news release.
Rangers reached the 58-year-old man at 2:28 p.m.
After arriving, rangers attempted to revive the man, but he remained unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name and hometown have not been released.
