A woman died in Colorado Springs Wednesday evening after she made a sudden U-turn and was struck by an oncoming Jeep.
Colorado Springs police received reports of an accident in the 2000 block of N. Circle Drive about 4:03 p.m., according to their blotter.
The woman, whose name has not yet been released, died at the crash site. The Jeep driver complained of “minor pain” and medics took him to Memorial Hospital Central.
Investigators determined that the woman, who drove a silver Honda, was driving northbound on Circle Drive when she turned suddenly, crossing into the left lane in which the Jeep driver was traveling. The Jeep hit the driver’s side door of the Honda.
Officers do not belive alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
