AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police have arrested a Department of Corrections officer who said he had been drinking and taking Vicodin before he got into an accident that sent three people to the hospital.
Police say 38-year-old Jason Ulrich was going 75 miles an hour Saturday in a 45 miles per hour zone before crossing over the median and hitting another vehicle.
One victim was listed in serious condition on Thursday. The other two were treated and released.
According to KUSA-TV (), Ulrich was arrested on Thursday and was taken to the Aurora City Jail. He faces charges of vehicular assault relating to the alcohol and vehicular assault relating to reckless driving and was being held on $50,000 bond.
