AURORA, Colo.—Authorities say they have found a 15-year-old Colorado girl who allegedly ran away and tried to make her disappearance look like a kidnapping.
Police in the Denver suburb of Aurora say an officer spotted Jasmine Fike outside a fast-food restaurant in Aurora Monday morning and arrested her.
Police say she didn’t require medical attention and is being held at a juvenile jail.
Police say they expect to pursue charges against her but haven’t given specifics.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued for the girl last week, but authorities then said she had staged an apparent kidnapping and was considered a voluntary runaway.
