Practice is going on the road this spring for the Colorado State football team. The Rams will hold a spring practice at Infinity Park in April.
In an effort to tap some of the 43,000 grads living in the Denver metro, the Rams will hold a spring practice at the 4,000-seat rugby stadium in Glendale on April 13.
“We have more than 70,000 former students, and 43,000 grads, in the metro area, and we want to continue to reach out to the fanbase in Denver,” CSU athletic director Paul Kowalczyk said Tuesday. “We’re going to give them a great day at the park.”
Kowalczyk said he would like to make a spring practice in Denver an annual event. The official spring game cannot be in Denver because of NCAA rules.
The team also will be make trips to area hospitals and look to do other community work that weekend in Denver.
