WESTMINSTER, Colo.—A defendant has been convicted of attacking an 81-year-old man in the restroom of a movie theater and stealing his wallet.
The Jefferson County district attorney’s office said Friday that 39-year-old Jeffrey Sang Knouse was found guilty of robbery of an at-risk adult, identity theft, criminal possession of a financial transaction device and other charges.
Prosecutors say the victim walks with a cane and was knocked to the ground by the attack in June 2010. A tip through the Crimestoppers program led police to Knouse.
Knouse faces a prison term of four to 30 years when he is sentenced on Oct. 11.
