DENVER—Researchers and the city of Aurora are concerned about the increasing conflicts between coyotes and humans following two attacks this summer.

Wildlife biologist Stewart Breck says he can’t explain why two children were attacked by coyotes in separate incidents in Broomfield this summer,

In Greenwood Village, 14 coyotes were killed in 2010 after the city council approved shooting the animals in public spaces.

According to the Denver Post ), there have been more than 4,000 coyote sightings in the metro area from 2001 to 2010, with more than 500 involving humans.
