LAKEWOOD — The owner of a dog that allegedly bit an 8-year-old was cited Tuesday for possession of a dangerous animal and other infractions, Lakewood police said.
The child, who had scrapes and bruises as well as puncture wounds on the buttock and thigh area, was bitten Monday in the 7300 block of West Arkansas Avenue.
The owner’s name has not been released. The dog will remain in the custody of Animal Control until after the owner appears in court.
