ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—The Denver Broncos boosted their secondary Sunday by signing free agent cornerback Jonathan Wilhite, who was cut by the New England Patriots last week.
To make room for the fourth year nickelback, the Broncos waived safety Darcel McBath.
Wilhite played in 39 games for the Patriots, including nine starts in 2009. He was waived in New England’s first cut to 80 players.
The Broncos also signed eight players they waived Saturday to their practice squad, including quarterback Adam Weber and safety Kyle McCarthy.
