The 19th-ranked University of Denver men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Davidson at Ciber Field on the DU campus Sunday. The Pioneers outshot the Wildcats 15-8 and held a 11-3 advantage in corner kicks but managed only one shot on goal to Davidson’s two.
The Pioneers next travel to South Bend, Ind., to take on a pair of top-10 teams at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament. Denver will face host No. 7 Notre Dame on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and No. 6 Indiana on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
• The Pioneer women’s soccer team fell to Cal 4-2 in Denver. DU opened the scoring 1:11 into the game on a goal from Kristen Hamilton, but Cal responded, led by Katie Benz’s three-goal performance.
Buffs fall to Illini.
The University of Colorado women’s soccer team ended its two-game scoring drought but lost 3-2 against No. 17 Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Ill.

Kerra Schroeder recorded 20 kills and 11 digs to lead the University of Colorado volleyball team past Albany 3-1 (30-28, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22) in the final match of the Colorado Volleyball Classic in Boulder.
Falcons split in pool.
Playing a pair of Western Water Polo Association conference opponents, the 18th-ranked Air Force water polo team split on the second day of the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, Calif. The Falcons dropped a 7-5 decision to eighth-ranked Loyola Marymount while earning a 12-4 decision over La Verne.
