COLORADO SPRINGS — Three suspected gang members who fell asleep in a vehicle with drugs and a stolen gun in the trunk received a rude awakening from police early Monday morning.
It started when a police officer patrolling Cottonwood Creek Park came upon a vehicle about 5 a.m. and approached to determine why the occupants were in the park after hours.
Three men and three underage females, who had been drinking alcohol, were asleep in the vehicle. Police found 265 grams of marijuana and a stolen gun in the trunk.
The men — Rayshawn Laster, Zhakary Laster and Seth Harvey — were arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons charges and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.
