The victim told police he was working an extra shift Aug. 14 when Adler put sugar down the gas tank of his personal truck. Holmes said he noticed the problem three days later when he tried to fill his gas tank and it was blocked.
The victim showed police a text-message conversation he had with Adler, in which Adler offered to pay for the damages, estimated at $2,000 to $3,000.
