EAGLE COUNTY — A trailer carrying 30 Shetland ponies rolled over on Interstate 70 in Eagle County Tuesday night, killing one of the animals, authorities said.
Rescuers needed more than two hours to free the rest of them after a pickup towing the trailer lost control on the I-70 ramp at U.S. 6 between Minturn and Vail.
