WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Westminster police officers investigating a homicide at an apartment complex last week have obtained an arrest warrant.
Detectives said Wednesday they are seeking 22-year-old Jose Manuel Martinez-Adame on suspicion of first-degree murder. They say he has used several aliases and has the nickname “Vampie.” Investigators say he may be in the U.S. illegally after being recently deported. They say he may now be in the Denver area, in California or in Mexico.
Police are seeking him in connection with a man found dead at an apartment complex Sept. 6. Investigators are working with the Mexican consulate to confirm his identity. Officers say they believe the victim was in the U.S. illegally as part of a group trafficking drugs from Mexico.
