The University of Colorado men’s basketball team will be on national TV at least five times this season, while the women’s squad gets at least two times on the TV stage.

The Pac-12 Conference announced Friday the Fox Sports Net television package, which will be carried by Root Sports in Colorado. The Buffs men’s home games on TV are: Georgia on Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m.; Washington State on Jan. 7 at 2 p.m.; and California on Feb. 26 at 3:30 p.m.. Road games are: Stanford on Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. and Utah on Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. CU could be on TV up to eight more times, either as FSN “wild-card” games or on CBS, ESPN, or ESPN2.

The Buffs women get TV time on Jan. 22 at Arizona at 2:30 p.m. and vs. UCLA from Boulder on Jan. 29 at 2 p.m., and possibly a wild-card game Feb. 11 against Arizona State.

DU women’s soccer team wins, CU ties in Denver Invitational.

Katy Van Lieshout got a solid cross from Kristen Hamilton and converted in the 54th minute to give the University of Denver women’s soccer team a 1-0 win over Cal State-Bakersfield in the second game of the Denver Invitational at DU’s Ciber Field.

In the first game, Amy Barczuk scored in the first half for Colorado, and Caroline Dannneberg converted in the second, but No. 22 Auburn answered both times and the Buffs settled for a 2-2 draw. It was the first goal of her college career for Dannenberg, a senior defender playing in her 69th game.

Pioneers shock Rams.

The University of Denver volleyball team got its first win over a ranked opponent since 1999 — and a victory over an in-state rival — as the Pioneers (3-9) defeated No. 19 Colorado State (6-3) 3-1 (27-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-22) at Hamilton Gymnasium.Junior Faimie Kingsley led the Pioneers with 15 kills and a .560 hitting percentage.

No. 1 Bears too much for Buffs.

University of Colorado coach Liz Kritza said she doesn’t believe in moral victories, but she was proud of the way her team fought after losing 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-15) to No. 1 California in Berkeley.
