A federal prison inmate was found guilty Friday of the murder of a fellow inmate, making him the eighth person to be convicted of the killing.
Daniel Morones was convicted after a week-and-a-half-long jury trial.
Morones was one of several inmates at the federal prison in Florence accused of beating to death Pablo Zuniga-Garcia in a gang-related attack in 2008 in Zuniga-Garcia’s cell. Four other inmates have been convicted at trial. Three more reached plea agreements.
