A man was shot multiple times early this morning when a bar fight in Colorado Springs spilled outside into a parking lot.
The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the Copperhead Road Bar, 330 North Academy Blvd., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
Two men got into a fight inside the bar and they were bounced outside by bar security, police said.
In the parking lot the pair tangled again. One man pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times, police said.
The shooter ran from the scene but was caught by bar security who held him until police arrived, the blotter said.
The 25-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital. Details on his injuries were not available.
Michael Rice, 37, is being held at El Paso County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
