Passenger traffic at Denver International Airport was up slightly in July over the same period a year ago, but two days were blockbusters.
A total of 5,099,489 passengers were recorded in July, a 0.8 percent increase from the 5,060,508 travelers passing through DIA in July 2010.
July 2 was the second-busiest day in the airport’s 16-year history with an estimated 177,757 travelers. July 29 claimed the third-busiest day with an estimated 177,668 travelers.
The busiest day in DIA’s history was June 1, 2010, with 177,792 travelers.
The year-to-date passenger traffic for July 2011 is 30,720,799, an increase of 680,460 passengers, or 2.3 percent, over the same seven-month period in 2010.
