After a few years of spot duty at wide receiver, quarterback and special teams, Loveland High School grad Collin Klein is firmly entrenched as Kansas State’s starting quarterback. After a redshirt freshman season at wide receiver and a sophomore season rotating in as quarterback, Klein is the Wildcats’ dual-threat quarterback in a 2-0 start.

He is 22-of-39 passing for 202 yards and leads the team with 217 yards rushing and two TDs. Last week against Kent State, he ran for 139 yards and two TDs and passed for 74 yards (9-of-18). This week he plays against Miami, and Hurricanes coach Al Golden said, “We expect quite a challenge from him.”
