COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Electric power has been restored to about 7,000 customers in Colorado Springs after a pickup truck hit a power pole and set the pole on fire.

Colorado Springs police say the driver and a passenger fled before police arrived. Police said the identity of the driver and the extent of his injuries is unknown.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department put out the fire.
