Far from the frenetic, shredding banjo stylings of TBT, Dead Man Winter plays a deeper, more musing brood of alt.-country and folk rock akin to their Minneapolis neighbors, the Jayhawks. “Wasteland” is a road song if there ever was one, and definitely one of our best Mile Marker performances this year.
