Vail Restaurant Month is underway, and will continue through Oct. 16. This annual event offers activities and packages for singles, couples, families and groups. Each week has a theme: Health, Wellness & Outdoors Week, Sept. 25-Oct. 2; Family Week, Oct. 3-Oct. 9; and LoveFest Week, Oct. 10-Oct. 16.
Crested Butte film fest.
The Crested Butte Film Festival will take place Thursday through Oct. 2. Films, discussions, and other activities are scheduled for this new festival. The event kicks off on with “Sneak Peek Gunnison,” a double feature of movies showing at the Gunnison Arts Center and the Ruby Theatre.
Pagosa Springs 50-mile run.
The Devil Mountain 50 Mile and 50k Ultra will take place Saturday in Pagosa Springs. This run climbs to just over 9,800 feet, and travels through some of the most remote and pristine old-growth forest in the United States. The 50k Ultra begins promptly at 7 a.m., the kids run at 7:30 a.m., and the half-marathon at 8 a.m.
La Veta Oktoberfest.
The Oktoberfest on Main Street celebration in La Veta takes place Saturday. With a German band in the morning, rock ‘n’ roll at night, arts and crafts and food vendors, a car show and a beer garden, there’s something for everyone. or 719-989-0890
