Raytheon has successfully completed a preliminary design review for the next generation Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment (GPS OCX), an important milestone in determining the program’s strategy, cost estimates and delivery schedule.
GPS OCX will aim to provide secure, accurate navigation and timing information to the military, commercial and civilian users. It is being developed under a $886.6 million contract by Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems facility in Aurora.
