The school year is well underway, but many students still lack essential supplies. Clothes to Kids of Denver provides free clothing to low-income, school-age children in Denver County and has been outfitting children at the rate of about 100 pupils per week. With early stocks depleted, they need boys and girls sneakers and tennis shoes, especially sizes 8 through 12, as well as new or gently used school clothes or uniforms (khaki pants and polo shirts). Shoe and clothing donations may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2890 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite M-3., Monetary donations and volunteers are also needed, says Joyce Meyers, president of the organization. For more information, call 720-379-4630, e-mail ctkdenver@gmail.com or go to
