FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A homeowner tired of speeders in his neighborhood is in hot water after he set up his own speed bumps.

Residents say their slow down sign on Raw-Hide Flats Road north of Fort Collins weren’t working and they took matters into their own hands.

Resident Al Scott tells KCNC-TV ( ) he was cited by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for obstructing a highway. over concerns the speed bumps could cause a crash. Scott says there will be no accidents if people are obeying the speed laws.

Deputies have promised to step up patrols in the area.
