Shaw wins World’s Strongest Man.

In a dramatic ending, Fort Lupton’s Brian Shaw rallied to win the World’s Strongest Man championship last week at Wingate University in North Carolina, beating two-time defending champ Zydrunas Savickas of Lithuania in the final event.

The two-day competition took strongmen through the frame carry, tire carry, truck pull, log lift and dead lift. Shaw is a former all-state basketball player at Fort Lupton High who went on to play at Black Hills (S.D.) State.
