Tucked in among Glenmere’s eclectic mix of Tudors, Victorians, bungalows and ranch-style homes stands a dignified slice of American rustic — a log cabin.

It’s so hidden away, down a deep drive off Montview Boulevard, that the couple who close on it this week have lived in the Glenmere neighborhood for four years and in Greeley for decades, but never knew the log home was there.

Kathy and Rocky Gentry needed all of, oh, a few seconds to decide to buy the home that was the long-ago vision of local real estate broker Joanne Eskildsen.

Eskildsen bought the 16,600-square-foot lot for about $20,000 in the late 1970s with the plan to build a log home.
